ARTvelopes Gelli Print Envelopes

Today I wanted to share with you a fun project to make with your Gelli Printing Plate. ARTvelopes for Happy Mail.

Supplies:

Acrylic Paints: You can use various types of acrylic paints and all work very good for this process:

Some envelopes

 A brayer

Some Stencils (Here are a few of my favorite ones)

How to: This is a basic how to for using the Gelli Plate.

Step 1: Use the brayer and put some paint on the plate and then placed various stencils to cover the plate.

Step 2: Place a piece of paper of envelopes to cover the plate.

Step 3: Pull up your paper

Here is what it looks like after you take off the stencils. There is still a bunch of paint on the surface of the plate so you can cover the plate again to pull a Ghost Print.

After you have pulled a ghost print you can add just a little bit of Gloss Gel Medium and spread it with a brayer and pull a second ghost print

Even though this show how it looks using papers the ARTvelopes  were made in the same manner. I just kept adding layers with the Gelli Plate until I was satisfied with the results.

If you don't have a Gelli Plate and would like to have some of the envelopes for your art work or for sending out some great Happy Mail, you can purchases these in my Etsy Shop you just need to click here
