Over the past few days I have been working on adding words to various pieces in preparation for a show at the end of the month.
I really want to infuse positive words into the lives of the people that view my pieces. So I have used my Silhouette Portrait and a font that I found called Socially Awkward. (I will find the source and update this post as soon as I do.)
Each one in the first two images have backgrounds that were created with a Gelli Arts Gel Plate. I really like how the plate is so flexible that a piece of wood can be printed just as easily as a piece of paper.
This on is from a series of small art block that have a heart as the focal image. Each of the hearts are created with layers of paper, paint and ink.
All of these pieces and more will be for sale on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Porterdale VFD Festival. Located in Porterdale, GA. The booth proceeds go to raise money for the VFD.
