DIY Business Cards

After receiving an email on Tuesday night from Everything Etsy linking to this post. I decided I really needed some new business cards. I always have to turn everything into a tutorial so here goes.  (READ MORE AFTER THE BREAK)
What you need:

• A computer
• A word processing program that will create labels
• A sheet of cardstock
• A printer
• Scraps of fabric that are long and thin

First you create your label in a “New document” this will allow you to create a border around each of your “Labels”.

Print them out of Cardstock.

Cut them down into strips. Leaving a white margin where possible. It doesn’t matter which side as you will see farther on.

Cut them into individual pieces. I used scissors for this step because it was simpler.

Choose your fabric and either rip or cut into strips about 1/8 inch wide, but I’m not too fussy here.

With your sewing machine sew them onto the strip of fabric.

After you have finished them all cut the fabric strips in between each one.
PS: A tip I learned the hard way. SPELL CHECK before you print and cut and sew! If you notice in the last picture they look a little bit different from the first picture. I had to redo the whole batch. Well I was able to change it up a little bit by creating all of them with a pinked edge.
