MyJournal Bible

I received the hardback ESV Journaling Bible for my birthday last week and I wanted to share what I have done with it so far.

First I added the tabs into the Bible. This took about two hours to complete, but I think it was well worth the time. It makes it so much easier to find the book that I am looking for.

Here is my first entry. I used sermon notes that I had taken the Sunday before.

Yesterday I decided to make a cover for it. I used a piece of painted canvas for the cover. This piece of canvas was originally a canvas promo bag that I was given and I had planned on using it as a tote but the gesso made it too stiff so I thought it would be a good use for the cover. I used Decoart Multi-Surface Satin Paint to paint the canvas.

Here is a close up of the detail on the cover. I think I may go back in with some Sharpies and add some words of affirmation and some doodles.

Here it is with the cover and the tabs. I really like how the tabs seem to match the colors of the cover.

Here is another entry that I finished using sermon notes for Mark 5: 24-34

This one is for John 13: 30

I hope you enjoy these. I will be sharing my pages here once a week.
