Today I wanted to share what I have been up to this week.

Journal Pages in Progress

Here is a  journal page that I have in progress using only the supplies from my  “Couch Box”. I used a roll of masking tape as stencil for the circles and filled some in and left just an out line of others to give a sense of depth and movement.

Cut and Ready to go

These pages are cut down to 9 x 12 and I will be selling some pages as kits in the etsy shop soon. I am also thinking about making some into a few journals to have them ready to be filled with you doodles and words.

Summer Doodles Day 23

This page was created in my large journal. I painted the base colors in shades of blues, and greens with a little bit of yellow thrown into the mix. I then watered down some white paint and let it dry just a little bit. After that I used a spray bottle to put a little bit of water on the page, then I wiped the water off with a paper towel. this is what created the interesting texture on the page. I then  applied black paint with an old giftcard  to add the lines. I really don’t know what I should do to finish it. I really like it the way it is.  Let me know  what you think.

Spending Time With My Girls

Last week was spent at Camp with my girls and I am planning for this week to be spent spending time with them. I will be back with more sketches soon. Summer is too short so I will be here less for the next few days. I do have a few scheduled post to share with you and I hope you will enjoy what I have set to post.

Summer Doodles Day 22

This page spread is in my 11x14 journal is was created on pages that were coated with gesso first. I then layered paint with brushes, my fingers and stencils. I then added doodles with pens and markers.

Summer Doodles Day 21

This Page is in my Large Journal that I wrote about on Day 12. I had a little help with the background, I let my youngest daughter help me and them we added a white wash. After the whitewash we used a card to create the lines that I let dry for a min or too them used a dry brush to blend them a little bit.

I used the Bic multicolor pen in spring colors and I just used the teal and was really just playing around.

This page started out with just the color and than I used a black ballpoint pen and added all the doodles.

This page was created with a Micron Pen. I was just trying to loosen up and create more fluid lines and the circles were just an afterthought.

Summer Doodles Day 17

This Page is play of black and white and color. I used a Micron Pen and Windsor Newton Watercolors, I love playing with contrasting colors with clean white.

This page is still in progress and I going to use it as warm-up page for a couple of weeks. I will post an update when I finish it.

This page was created with multiple markers and I loved getting to play with colors.

These pages was made using a INC. R2 0.7mm Rollerball Pen that I found at my local Dollar Tree. I have been trying our various pens to see how each of them work.

Summer Doodle Day 12

New Sketchbook for even bigger doodles than before. I am looking forward to filling this one up. I purchased this one at my local Hobby Lobby, I used a 40% off coupon to save the money on this one for only $7.49. I will be posting pictures of the pages to complete this series.

This page was one that I was not going to post. I don’t really like it much but I figured I need to show them all if I am going to complete the series. This one was created with a Bic Ballpoint Pen.

This page was done with a 4-color Bic Pen in the bright summer colors. I added the small circles to give a sense of motion and depth.

This page was created with a Zig fine tip pen, and I then used my Windsor Newton Watercolor kit that I love to carry with me. I sketched these on location during a recent trip to what we love to just call “The Farm”
