An Art Break

I didn’t mean to,but I have been on a little bit of a blogging break. I have taken this time to refocus my attention on thing that matter to me (my family) and really find time to explore my style, and examine where I want to go with my art. I think this time away has helped me to learn that I will now try to blog on a schedule each week, with 3 post a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This way I can really focus on my family and my art.

I am working on a new studio space and will be sharing the progress here soon. We are working on converting our garage from storage to a studio. Some of you will understand this is not a process that will happen over night. It will happen but it is taking time.
We have started back to school (homeschool) and the girls are getting back into a routine and this is helpful for both them as well as me. We all seem to function better on a regular routine and getting up earlier in the morning is helping me to really accomplish more than staying up late was.
I have found a venue to start teaching workshops again and they will be held each Thursday night from 5:30 – 7:30 at my local Hobby Lobby store (the Conyers, GA location) if you are local I would love for you to try out a workshop with me. I will be teaching, basic to intermediate art journaling as well and basic bookbinding.

The Workshops fees will be $25 per 2 hour class, Some classes will be a 2 night / 4 hour class so the cost for them will be $50. I am really excited about this new endeavor and I look forward to introducing people to the fun world of art journaling.
I have also added instagram to my list of social networks and you can follow me here.

Visiting from In the Studio,
We are new to homeschooling this year so I enjoyed your homeschool link. Glad you found a way to teach you art, I think that will be a great outlet
(and you get to make money!)
