Branch Slice Ornaments

I just wanted to share the start of my Christmas ornaments for this year. My husband cut slices of branches for me and I dried them in the oven for about and hour at 225F and then let them cool in the oven until they were completely cool which to about 3 hours. 

Then I sketched a little tree design on then and began to fill them with paint. 

I added shading and ornaments to round out the design.
